Fall & Spring Riding Weekends Camp Friendship offers riding weekends each year in the spring and fall. Riding weekends are a great experience for prospective campers, as they are a chance to try out camp, and for returning campers who just can’t wait for next summer! Camp Friendship offers both mother/daughter weekends and girls weekends. Daughters aged 5 and up may join us for mother/daughter weekends and girls weekends are for ages 7-16. Check in is Friday evenings at 8:00p.m. and check out is on Sundays at 1 p.m. Weekends are jam packed with riding lessons, trail rides, theory lessons, hay rides, campfires and other fun activities.
Spring Break Camps Two one week long programs each spring the week before Easter and the week following. Spring break camp is for girls 7-16. Check in is at 8:00p.m. on Monday night and check out is at 1:00p.m. on Friday afternoon. Trail Rides and lessons must be scheduled in advance. Please contact Skye, our riding director for availability. (434) 589-3878 email@example.com All trail rides are guided by riding camp staff and are only offered on horses provided by camp. Each trail ride will begin briefly in the ring so that riders first become comfortable on their horse. Horse Back Riding Retreats We offer horseback riding retreats custom to what your group needs. We have hosted Girl Scout groups, school groups, birthday parties, family reunions, and more. Listed below are Camp Friendship’s basic packages, but please contact us with specific questions as we will try to accommodate your needs.

Camp Friendship’s hayrides have become quite popular with campers and visitors. The hay wagon is driven into our large horse field so that you can see the horses “in the wild”! Riding staff will be on the wagon to tell you all about the horses and answer any questions that you have. Make sure to bring your cameras, the view is breathtaking. Half Day Programming: Includes theory lesson, grooming and tacking of your own horse, and one hour long riding lesson. Meals can be included upon request. Full Day: Includes theory lesson, grooming and tacking of your own horse, one 1 hour riding lesson, one hour long trail ride, time for learning and performing barn chores, and a hay ride. Lunch and dinner are included, breakfast can be requested for an additional fee. Weekends or 2 days include everything that a full day includes, plus meals, lodging for 1 or 2 nights and an extra riding lesson.
