Ice skating is a fun activity for the whole family and a low impact form of exercise that’s easy on the joints. Aside from a great aerobic workout, it strengthens muscles in your legs and burns calories. Something different for everyone to enjoy together, it’s also a great stress buster.
Ice skating takes quite a bit of focus, but in a short amount of time you’ll most likely be surprised at your progress and be delighted to glide and steer your way along the ice. I think it’s one of the closest things to flying, only on the ground where you can gracefully exercise balance, speed and spatial awareness. If your kid has never ice skated, it’s a good opportunity to teach them with the added excitement of other kids, and especially their camp friends and buddies to share the fun
with. A little courage and patience will go far and it’s really a lot of fun to watch everyone get better with each and every lap around the rink.
When’s the last time you skated? Why not join the fun and challenge yourself a little? Skating is something to get excited about and a good way to get your heart beating faster and improve your circulation.
As the colder weather approaches you might feel more inclined to stay in and miss out on some fun exercise. So don’t hesitate. Gather the flock and spend some time together with other camp friends and families skating and having a blast. It’ll be great to see everyone there!
Camp Friendship in Virginia would love for you to join us for a FUN afternoon ICE SKATING. We will be providing drinks and pizza.
